“The Aurora, Texas case from April 17th of 1897, is an important case to consider when undertaking a thorough examination of the modern history of the UFO phenomenon. Despite the lack of anomalous physical evidence to corroborate the anecdotal data we have at our disposal, the Aurora case is a cornerstone case which has become legendary in stature, with a long history of objective investigation and candid discussion. Although my own position on the Aurora case is that is it a hoaxed event, the effort to scrutinize such historical cases is what truly holds court, what truly is important, and what truly offers the opportunity for productive investigative work. Daniel Alan Jones’ work on the Aurora case is highly focused and certainly worthy of consideration. I strongly endorse his work on the Aurora, Texas case.”
